My Vacation?

Hey Everyone!

Guess what, Since Mrs Mouse went to Hawaii the other week, I get to go on a mini vacation too. I only get to go for two days, where she went for a week tho.

Oh well....so i'm off to Nashville on 10/30 to visit my peeps there, and to also go see Nine Inch Nails on Halloween night with my brother (i wish he was around more so we could hang out!)

That means, Mrs Mouse will need some help that evening with all the kiddies, spooks, ghouls and goblins that will come calling that night (any volunteers?)

I will fly back on 11/1 for Mrs Mouse's birthday, and so that i can work as well that night...i know what you are thinking, work on her b-day? I do have plans later in the month for her...don't worry!

Anywhooo...some day i will find me a new job. Until then, i will continue to entertain the dogs, and learn how facebook works!

so....i realize i haven't put together a decent blog post in quite a while. Mrs Mouse has been gone all week to Hawaii with her mother, 3 aunts and a cousin (and i couldn't be more bored!)

i thought i would try to be like some of my blogging heroes and try some of their techniques.

First Off: i thought i would watch the dvd's that are in my collection that we have bought, but never have watched...i watched one of 7 unwrapped dvd's...It was Rocky Balboa (the most recent rocky movie). It was really pretty good...just wish i had that movie with the smoker hero in it..hint hint!

Second Off: i decided to play Madden on the Playstation 2...that was good until i destroyed all of the teams i played and won the Super Bowl (Go Broncos!)

Third Off: i fertilized the back yard grass with Weed and Feed, and while doing that, i checked Mrs Mouse's tomatoes, and i think the frost and snow from last weekend got them....im gonna get it for that one!

Basically, i am getting sick of staying home all of the time...I keep applying for jobs, and no one seems to want me...that's really good for my self-esteem issues!

Anyway, Mrs Mouse will be home this sunday, so i only have a few more days of boredom to survive....somehow, i think i will.

So....to sum up.....Norm Bored!...Z, your house looks cool, Freckle bug, Happy B-day.

Jedi to officiate at wedding tonight

It will be a first in Utah tonight when a Jedi reverend will officiate at a wedding in West Valley.
It turns out Jedi-ism is a real religion, and West Valley's Steve Ford is a bona fide reverend, legally authorized to marry his brother and soon-to-be sister-in-law. The wedding itself is more or less traditional with the bride in a gown, the groom in a suit and Ford in a suit too, but with a light sabre clipped to his belt.
"Catholics carry crucifixes, and we carry sabres," Ford said.
The bride, Candace Forbes, says she isn't necessarily a Star Wars fanatic, but she is honored that her brother-in-law can marry them. She also likes the non-denominational approach.
Ford says Jedi-ism has actually been around for centuries. He says George Lucas basically gave it a name and logic. He says Jedi-ism is non-denominational and accepts all and any religion.
Ford himself will get married next year in what he calls a full Jedi ceremony, complete with robes and a "union candle."

Well...i went to see "The Dark Knight" the other night after work.

IT WAS AWESOME!!!

I would have to put it on top of the list of the Batman movies....just ahead of Batman Begins, Batman Returns, Batman and the other two just suck (you know the ones with Arnold Swarzenegger as Dr Freeze, Jim Carrey as the Riddler, Tommy Lee Jones as Harvey Dent/Two Face and Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy...why do i know so much about Batman....i must be a Geek!)

Why was it good?...well, altho Heath Ledger has given me bad dreams before from other movies (see A Knights Tale or 10 Things I Hate About You), he was actually creepy in this...forget Jack Nicholson as the Joker in the original Batman Movie...and I was happy he didn't look like a bad victim of "Dolly Parton-like facial surgery".

I was also happy to see that the guy who played Harvey Dent could actually act....altho from watching him in "The Core", you might doubt it!

there were also some good previews too....i do have a question for my comic book friend out there...what is "The Watchmen" exactly, and am i weird to think that this movie looks totally cool just from the preview?

anyway...i will post more later....the dogs need out!

Hey guys....thought i would come on here and say hi, it has been a while!

let me see...what is new since i last put anything on here?

hmm...let me think...it has been like a month.

there was a parade, i spent time in the mountains, got fired, played with the dogs, watched crappy daytime tv (judge shows suck!), discovered vanilla bean frappachinos at starbucks and got a part time job at the ESA.

that's my boring life in a nutshell....if anyone knows of any whay to make free money other than by selling body parts or fluids, let me know....no drug sales either.

Hi everyone....hope all is well.

Seems like me and john are having a competition on who can update their blog (we do it so often!)

so, i guess saturday must have been Race day for the whole clan, as geoff and the tennessee gang went to the nationwide series in nashville saturday night (go kyle busch!), most of the utah gang (me, miss mouse, scratty, z and the girls) went to the races out in the lovely city of MAGNA!

it was fun spending time with those guys, altho it would have been a better quality of racing there in nashville...oh well, we will see the good races in vegas again next year....you all are invited to come!!!

so, from reading the blogs i have learned that bebo is still in france (comment allez vous?), scarlet has seen many movies that most all women would enjoy ( i still like cloverfields and indy jones vs the aliens), coley finally got her a job (btw, the pic you had on the blog with you and the big stuffed dog was really cute...we (me and mrs mouse) want a copy of that one!

i also have learned that geoff rocks (haha...bad joke) and that there is a new baby someplace in the pacific northwest!

Few Words About MY Generation

It isn't exactly clear where generation names come from; but every 20 years or so a new moniker is chosen. It could be that some put-away hermit with a Rumpelstiltskin beard and a passion for mind-enhancing incense quills a new appellative every 20-years and presents it to the world. One can only theorize.

I belong to generation X, which I feel was intended more as an insult than a nickname. Sure, there are the baby boomers and they should be justifiably embarrassed by their insidious handlebut no generation nickname implies the emptiness, the lack of hope, and the valuelessness of generation X.

Sometimes I wish I was born between 1900 and 1924 so I could hale from the G.I. generationthat would be cool. Why couldn't the engraving powers that be have granted us a handle like that. They could have even revisited the nickname to make it more applicable; we could have been the G.I. Joe generation. I would have even bought the T-shirt.

Nope, I am stuck with generation X, as if I belong to a listless generation with no positive effector perhaps no effect at allon the world.

To all Gen-Xers: it's time to defend yourselves. We have meaning. We have value. We can wear the t-shirt and wave the flag because we are the ones who have dragged this world, kicking and screaming, into the new millennium. What other generation can see the practicality of coats with zip-off sleeves? What other generation can fathom the depth and profoundness in the words of the great orator, Gary Gnu. What other generation has utilized the zipper more effectively as a central accent on leather clothing. Do the kids of today call it breakdancing? Obviously they haven't seen Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Can any other generation "wang chung tonight?" Can any other generation appreciate the nuances in Mr. T's haircut? Does any other generation realize that Mr. T had his own breakfast cereal? Does any other generation know who Mr. T is?

We come from a generation where we break up with each other the old fashioned way, sitting across the table, dressed in Chess King whites, an order of Hobo Joes spread between us. "Can't we just be friends?" we say. That's right, the operative word is SAY, not TEXT. We come from the only generation that truly understands how to play Dungeons & Dragons and who felt the world's pain at the loss of the great Gary Gygax. We come from the generation that made Chuck Norris famous, that gave the finger to the Ruskies, that took the sagely advice of Mr. Drummond on Different Strokes. We gen-Xers finally put Menudo out of its misery. It wasn't until generation Y that the same mistake was revisited with the advent of New Kids on the Block.

To all gen-Xers in the world, I issue a challenge for you to stand up. Raise your fists high and shout our slogan, "We're not going to take it; no, we ain't gonna take it; we're not going to take it anymore." If there is ever to be peace in the world, harmony in the air, joy in our cities and neighborhoods, you can be assured that gen-Xers will lead the charge. After all, "people are people, so why should it be, you and I should get along so awfully."

ok....so we did get on the next train which arrived an hour later than the one we missed and we made it to SLC which seemed to be quite the place with the Blaze game that night and ReAL Salt Lake was also in town playing the L. A. Beckhams.....well anyway, the Blaze won (finally!), we heard that Beckham scored two goals on RSL and Geoff texted to let us know that the Bees lost to the Sounds in Nashville.

and to top it off, the Jazz lost today!

Night at the Scrapbooking Expo

well...it might as well could have been a scrapbooking expo....last night Mrs Mouse and I went to see the Jazz play The Houston Rockets at the ESA (energy solutions arena)....the game was at 8:30pm so we decided to make an evening out of it...we first went to Iggy's for dinner (chicken balls...yummy!), then we headed to the arena....we got there about 7pm, so we had an hour and a half or so to kill before the game...as you can see from the picture, our original seats were in the upper bowl, about 14 rows up..the view was ok, but we still like to be closer...about halfway through the first quarter, Mrs Mouse's dad (lets call him "Papa Mouse" called to let us know there were some seats we could use..these are our "jazz seats" which are directly across from the jazz bench, about 13 rows up from the floor in the lower bowl (we love Papa Mouse)...id like to sit there all the time, but the ticket price on those seats for last nights game was $150.00, so thats not happening!....anyway, the Jazz lost 94-92.

New Kids On The Block to make TV appearance

All five members of the group New Kids on the Block are expected to appear together on the Today show on April 4th, when they are expected to officially announce they've reformed.

Speculation the group - Danny Woods, Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and Jordan Knight - has reunited reached fever pitch in January when a new untitled track was uploaded on New Kids On The Block's recently-active official Web site.

And although Woods denied the band is to reform, reports the five-piece were in the studio working on a new album then surfaced.

Now New Kids On The Block, who sold over 50 million albums before splitting in 1994, are to appear on NBC's morning show, where they are expected to announce a tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of their smash sophomore disc Hangin' Tough.

so anyway...i hear that someone (geoff) has issues with pople not posting things...well...so do i! the probelm is, some people don't have really interesting lives like some people do....for example, here is what happnned at Frodo & Lilo's (fritos) house this weekend...saturady morning, we went to a homeowners association meeting, where we learned how to be nosy neighbors, then in the afternoon we went to the last puppy class (graduation)...after that, we hooked up with Z, Scratty, Ash and Karl and took a tour of their new house (which was realy nice)....we then went to the Blaze game (arena football) with Scarlet and "the maker"...it was cool to hang out with them, but the game sucked.....sunday was the usual...wake up, church, watch nascar, nap....altho, this sunday we went to g-ma's and saw the huggy nephew as mentioned on bebo girl's blog...we even saw bebo's girl too....anyway...hope this is sufficient.

We were at Sam's Club saturday and we saw they had the game for the XBOX and the PS3, but we found one for the PS2, so R talked me in to buying it.

'Super Dell' Schanze Wants To Be Governor Rather Than Mayor

SALT LAKE CITY - His candidacy for Salt Lake County mayor didn't last long. Now, former computer store owner "Super" Dell Schanze is officially running for governor of Utah.

Just last week, Schanze threw his name in the race for Salt Lake County mayor and challenged Democratic incumbent Peter Corroon. On Monday, though, Schanze changed his goal to the governorship.

Monday was the last day for residents to file for candidacy for any public state office up for grabs in this fall's general election. Apparently, Schanze decided to get in while he could -- officially filing as a Libertarian gubernatorial candidate.

Schanze joins a small field of candidates hoping to take up residence at the governor's mansion in January. Democrats Bob Springmeyer and Monty Nafoosi are also running against Republican incumbent Jon Huntsman, Jr.

In 2006, Schanze became a news item after allegedly pulling a gun on a group of angry residents in Draper and flying a motorized paraglider too close to interstate 15 during the morning rush hour.

That same year, Schanze also closed his computer business -- "Totally Awesome Computers" -- but continues to operate a gun range.

BTW....THERE IS AN AWESOME PHOTO OF THIS CRAZY GUY ON KUTV.COM......CHECK HIM OUT...why stop at the Utah State House...he could be John McCain's running mate....McCain/Schanze '08...we'er nuttier than a box of squirrels!

OK...so I will give Geoff this much, that guy kinda looked like be. However, I have found other better "clones of myself out there. In the baseball world, there is always Eric Gagne (formerly of the Boston Red Sox). We were watching a Mariners game last year when Becca said "that guy looks like you." We reversed the old DVR, Paused it, and lo and behold, i was on TV....scary!

Also, someone once said I looked like the Penn guy from Penn and Teller...I met him and had a photo taken, you be the judge!

anyway...i hope all the Tennesseans are well...some excuse to get out of church...im sure if you just asked, you could have gotten out of it

ok....just had to get this off my chest.....did anyone happen to see American Idol tuesday night?...if you didnt, count yourself as lucky...their theme was "Lennon and McCartney Songs", which i guess meant "try hard not to ruin the Beatle Songs" night....it was pretty damn scary!

out of 12 people "singing" in this Karaoke Death Match, only 2 people (both female) sounded half decent...the kid from utah forgot the words to "We can work it out" and another guy tried singing "Eleanor Rigby" and made up his own words to it...last i heard, father makenzie was darning his socks in the night, not wearing his socks in the night...give me a break!!!!!!

it really sucked..there was some girlie that was trying to do " Eight days a week" as country thing with fiddles....whoever thought that was a great idea should be hung!

the utah kid said he didnt even know any beatles songs....what "musician" doesnt know the beatles? lmao

anyway, tonight we got to see which loser gets to go home...if i had my choice, i would send them all away except for the irish chick and the blonde mormon girl from arizone that sang "Let It Be" and she did a really good job of it....altho these songs, should only be sung by beatles!

i have been conflicted about this all day...is it disrespectful to to continue disliking someone, even tho they had an untimely death?

let me explain...there was this lady i used to work with for a couple of years..we didn't get along well...ok we didnt like each other at all...she was one of those "complainy types" that tried to work the system every which way she could...well she quit about a year ago and we come to find out today that she was found dead in her condo monday......while its sad that the death was untimely, and i feel bad for her family, im not sad that she is gone....does that make me a bad person?

i'd like some feedback on this!

had to check the nightly blogs and i didnt really learn much, other than Lizzy has a secret, Z was hard to find because of having sunglasses, Scrat is getting a new phone, the Z and Scrat Collective (good name) is looking at another house by me, Bebo wants a baby, Mr Johjima is crazy and needs some sun (too much rain in Seattle) and The Conservative has a turtle named Turdey....al in all, i think it was a productive night!

Hi Guys.....We made it back from our road trip to the races on Monday as R had to go back to work. we got to the track on saturday (which was the nicest day of the weekend)...On Saturday, i was a little disappointed that no drunk people decided to make friends with either me or R, so we jst sat and watched the race which was ok, altho it seemd to last forever since there were so may wrecks and cautions....300 yr old Mark Martin won that race...after the race, we decided to go into town for some food...we went to the good old In-N-Out burger just off the freeway at Tropicana and we had some yummy burgers and fries..the place was packed!...After that, we went to the Aladdin, which is now called planet Hollywood and then to the Shops At Caesars to do some shopping...after shopping we headed back to the hotel for some shut eye....Sunday morning came and it was like really cold and windy, so after or yummy Brekkie at the Holiday Inn Express, we went to the track again (which was like 4 miles from the hotel.)...at the track, we had passes to the Neon Garage, which allowed us to go into the garage an pit areas, and down on the track before the race...they had all the cars out on the track to see and we both almost got run over by cars getting pushed out to the track...R almost got hit By Jimmie Johnson's car and I almost was hit by Denny Hamilin's car....we then watched the race and after it was done, we got to go into Victory lane and see Carl Edwards and his car (he won)...after the race we picked up some more souvenirs and drove back to Cedar, the slep in the hotel and drove home in the morning....it was a fun trip...now that i have bored everyone.. i will try to be more interesting next time.....c-ya!!!

Hi Everyone.....Greetings from the fabulous city of Cedar, where the coolest thing in town sees to either be this hotel, or the Super Walmart.....you choose!

we are staying here tonight before heading into Vegas in the morning (you just have to take advantage of the Super Cool Breakfast here at the hotel...yummy!)

it was kinda funny on the way down here, we saw a billboard in Springville which had a picture of our neighbor on it...what a shocker. She is in some church movie playing Emma Smith

well...tomorrow is the first of two races in the city of blinding lights...should be fun!!!

also, it will be the day of the annual pilgrimage to the In-n-Out Burger for a burgre fit for a king...its the only other meal I look forward to each year (OTHER THAN TURKEY DAY!)

OK...here is a question for all of you...what is the deal with Fergie?...and who really cares if big girls don't cry...and what the h e double hockey sticks does it mean to be "fergilicious"...it sounds like it could be contagious...hopefully they can prescribe some sort of cream to treat it!

and now in movie news, for you futurama fans out there, i picked up Benders Big Score at a redbox in Orem and watched it on the way, it was pretty good, check it out...i dont have a complex movie rating system like old Will Scarlet does, but who cares?

anywhoo.....im gonna go either run on a treadmill, or search for some cookies!

if there is a comp in the Holiday Inn in Vegas, you just might hear from me again!

a couple other things...I'm glad that the Chan Chan man is blogging on here so we can know somewhat of the goings on in the pacific northwest...domo arigato Chan Chan San!

Scrat...there is some book out there called "The Secret" or something that basically says that if you wish something, it will be yours....keep wishing on the house...or maybe you could pray to the almighty "John" and it might happen!

I was just sitting here, eating a delish plate of Spaghetti & Meatballs (thanks sweetie), and i thought i would say hi.....HI!!!!

I have been trying to think of some things to tell all you people, but i dont know if i am all that creative.

We are headed to the land of the high rollers this wekend to watch 42 cars drive around in circles for 3 hours while doing about 200mph...thats always a funtime!!!
